I have to say that, as someone of charismatic persuasion, the ideas expressed by Homer Rodeheaver leave me feeling sick. The view that emotional manipulation should be part of evangelism is utterly repugnant. True conversion only results from a deep inner conviction of the truth of the gospel message. Faith has to be rooted in the facts of what Jesus did, not in some warm fuzzy feeling that fails to consider the cost.
