Partner with us

A year ago this week we fully launched Religious Affections Ministries. Our burden is simple: help churches think biblically about worship and music. This means publishing articles, books, recordings, and sheet music all with the purpose of equipping local churches to worship our Lord biblically, deliberately, and, yes, conservatively.
I started this ministry from a burden that had been growing in my heart over several years of serving in full-time church ministry and occasionally speaking on worship and music in other venues. After enthusiastic encouragement by our pastor and local church (who were sorry to see us leave but excited about the possibilities of this ministry) and several other pastors and leaders around the country (including Mark Minnick, Kevin Bauder, Ed Dunbar, and Michael Harding), we started making plans.
Now, after a year of serving in this capacity, I am more convinced than ever that this kind of ministry is something for which pastors and churches are crying out. I receive a steady flow of e-mails and phone calls expressing appreciation for what we’re doing and asking for help in this important areas.
And after a year of slowly building this ministry, I am excited about taking it to the next phase and seeking to offer more help to local churches. We are in good condition to move forward in this way. We have a strong board of directors (Greg Stiekes, Kevin Bauder, Michael Harding, Stephen Allen, Caleb Roth, Michael Riley, Scott Williquette, and Dave Fassett), two regularly supporting churches, 11 regularly supporting individuals, a dozen or so more folks who give on a semi-regular basis, and several volunteers who help with various aspects of running Religious Affections Ministries.
We’d like to be able to provide teaching curriculum, more books and booklets aimed at laymen, recordings to encourage excellent hymnody, children’s resources, regional seminars, and more. But each of these endeavors requires funds!
We continue to give thanks to God for the faithful prayers and financial support of our friends and partners in the mission to help Christians understand better how to think biblically about worship and music. As we have anticipated the slow summer months and current economic challenges, we have continued to operate on a conservative budget, carefully monitoring expenses to ensure responsible stewardship of the resources provided.
Yet the significant challenge of maintaining our current ministry while also pursuing new ministry opportunities remains. We are currently in need of additional funds to maintain the ministry and move it forward.
Please join us in asking the Lord to provide new supporters who have been blessed by the ministry of Religious Affections and are willing to partner with us in ministry. If you are able, please consider giving a tax-deductible gift to RAM today.
Thank you for supporting the work of Religious Affections Ministries.
