Kevin Bauder Preaching on What Makes a Good Hymn Text
This year our keynote speaker is Dr. Kevin Bauder from Central Baptist Seminary in Plymouth, MN. He is going to be presenting a series of messages on what makes a good hymn text. These sessions will be very helpful as pastors and music ministers choose hymns for their congregational worship and as new hymns are being written.

Dean Kurtz to Present His New Book
During one of the workshop sessions, Dean Kurtz will be presenting “Worship in the Word,” a summary of his new biblical theology of worship.

Steve Allen to Help Music Directors
Seasoned music pastor Steve Allen will be back this year to teach congregational hymn leading as well as workshops on planning seasonal services and creative instrumentation. These will be very helpful tools for the music director.

David Ledgerwood to Help Accompanists
Professor David Ledgerwood will be with us to teach basic and advanced accompaniment as well as how to arrange simple pieces from the hymnal.

Sessions for Children
This year we are inviting families to bring their children! The Camp Joy staff will provide child care during the services, and we will also be holding special children’s music classes.
