A Systematic Theology of Biblical Christianity by Rolland McCune

mccune-book-cover-1I cannot more highly recommend the first volume of this excellent resource.

From the president of Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary:

I am pleased to announce that the first volume of A Systematic Theology of Biblical Christianity by Dr. Rolland McCune has been released by Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. This series represents the culmination of decades of study and teaching theology. Lord willing, the second volume will be released later this year, with the series being completed in 2010.

One of our core commitments at DBTS is spreading sound theology. We want to get this work into the hands of pastors, professors, men preparing for ministry, and godly believers who have a heart for God’s truth. That commitment is why we’re making these volumes available at incredibly low prices. A comparable book would normally retail in the range of $25, but we’ve set the retail price at just $15.99.

Because we want to get copies of this first volume into as many hands as we possibly can, we are actually doing two things to reduce the price. First, individual copies are available for a limited time at a price of only $11.99 (a 25% discount). These may be purchased from the Inter-City Baptist Bookstore (313.383.6110) or ordered online at http://www.dbts.edu/store. Second, churches or campus bookstores may purchase A Systematic Theology of Biblical Christianity for $256 per case (32 books), a wholesale price of just $8 per book. Our goal is to make it easier to get a great theology book into the hands of church members and students.

For years, Fundamentalists have been criticized for not writing and publishing. We’re doing what we can to offset some of that criticism. Later this year, we have an anthology of academic research articles from DBS Journal being published by BMH Books. Dr. Robert McCabe also has made a significant contribution to Coming to Grips with Genesis: Biblical Authority and the Age of the Earth, and is working to complete a commentary on Ecclesiastes. I expect our contributions to serious biblical and theological study will continue. I am very pleased that the publication of A Systematic Theology of Biblical Christianity will stand on the front edge of that commitment.

For the sake of His name,
