New Book! By the Waters of Babylon: Worship in a Post-Christian Culture

By the Waters of Babylon Cover 2I am pleased to announce the publication of my next book, By the Waters of Babylon: Worship in a Post-Christian Culture, published by Kregel Publcations!

Here’s how the back cover describes the book:

When the Israelites were in captivity in Babylon, they could no longer worship as before, in their beautiful temple, in the safety and familiarity of their homeland. They were in a hostile environment. Christians today also face difficult circumstances. Unbiblical beliefs have progressively permeated western thought and expectations. So how should churches respond to a post-Christian culture in their worship and witness?

By the Waters of Babylon will help Christians wrestle through this critical issue of the relationship between Christian worship and evangelistic witness, especially in an adverse culture. The author believes a biblically regulated, gospel-shaped corporate worship that communicates God’s truth through appropriate cultural forms will have the most missional impact in a post-Christian context.

I am very excited about this release, and I’ll say more about it in the days to come.

In the mean time, go order a copy!
